thinking of designing and making a few dozen 2-10, 2-12 and 2-15 combos as well as 50 and hundred watt heads for a local music store, what i have so far is a basic 6l6 or el34 poweramp with 3 channels, clean, OD and distortion..... but i was toying with the ideas of having octal sockets for acessories, to change your tone...... like to suit your plying style, to have a few diferent plugs that change the way your amp responds and such instead of having super large amounts of dials and knobs....... and they'll look cool to boot purple tolex with gold face plate and i'm not too sure on grillcloth yet.... but he's one of 5 or 6 owners i know who have reallly liked some of my mods and homebrew amps..... so maybe, but what would you like to see in an amp? besides versatility (the 3 channels and plugs could allow you any sound you want)
