I'm not sure which is funnier, the 2000 watt claim or this guys feedback!
People seem to actually be expecting a $24 system to put out 2000w

Funny thing is if you click on the picture it takes you to the manufacturers site which clearly states the output is RMS 3w @ <= 10% THD :lmao:

For about ONE millisecond, at 110% thd.(and NOT with the "wall wart" type of power supply most of those have, either.)
at least companies like Altec rate their computer speakers honestly. I have an acs-295, and it has 7w. per channel, for the satelites, and 20w. for the sub, (and no wall wart, it has a respectable-sized power tranny inside, and a nice sink, on the sub).and it can REALLY crank!(Im sure, louder and cleaner than that "2000 watt " system!!)

What the heck is "Super Glue Light Effect" :stupid:

"Super Glue Light Display"??? :wtf:
But hey, it's one of the "Best Home Theatres on the Market for the Price" Yeah, this looks like one of the 'best' 5.1 systems in the sub-$25 price bracket!! :lmao:
The subwoofer is only 6 x 9 x 10 inches - or basically the same width and depth as my 2 slice toaster, and 2" taller than the toaster. That's TINY. The satellites are tiny cubes just less than 3.5" per side. I'll bet that boxed, it's smaller than the box for my Altec Lansing 2.1 system, and I'd wager it weighs less than 10 lbs. Yet shipping to the 48 states is a whopping $29.95, more than the unit itself!! :lmao:

"Peak Music Output Power" or "Peak Momentary Power Output"
RMS is on average about 2-3% of PMPO
The vendor of the product calculates PMPO based on the maximum power output of the device under perfect conditions and 100% efficiency. These conditions are impossible to obtain, and no device can sustain the PMPO power for any significant length of time without being ruined. The PMPO power relies on the fact that amplifiers can provide short bursts of very high power.

Ahhhhh yes. It seems PT barnum continues to be right. I think I'm going to get in on some of this. Anyone who falls for this deserves what they get. AND YES... I'm talking about normal, non-audiophile, non AKers.
Even at the tender age of 14, I knew the Fisher 'stereo" with TT, 8track, tuner, and all the little lights had FAKE speakers... (I don't know if you remember the Fisher systems that came not with a real woofer, but a reflex cone masquerading as a woofer). I didn't fall for it back THEN, and I have nothing but disdain for those who fall for it NOW. Especially because back then, to do research you had to talk your way into the "hippie" apartment that smelled of ummmmmm incense (they were the only ones who knew about stereo stuff in my neighborhood) and these days it's so freaking easy to go online and in 5 minutes find out more info than I could get in 5 hours from, ummmm the guy with the loud system in my building...
I'm going to find a cheap source of Asian sub/sat computer speakers, I'm going to hook up a Cyberhome DVD player to it, and call it a HTIB. Sell it for 1500 bucks... My slogan will be... "The Invisible Sound". and oh yeah, put a blue light on it.

I dunno, guys. I could tell most of the time, INSTINCTIVELY, from a relatively early age, when a product was "junk" & when it wasn't. I kinda think most of us here could/can, too. Why is it so hard for some folks to do? -Sandy G.

Actually, PMPO has no relation to anyhting remotely legitimate. The "PMPO" outputs claimed are unreachable no matter how ideal the circumstances. It's nothing but pure fraud suckerbait. I don't care if you hooked the amp IC in those things up to Three Mile Island, you ain't gettin that out of it! :D

At over 11thousand!!! items sold by this shyster, I want in!
I can get the system for 3 to 5 bucks. I'll say it pushes 5000watts (OK so it's one watt at a time, but over a few years...5 thousand!) Sell it for 19.95 + 8 dollars shipping and handling... that's like some major cheese!
Anybody want to go in with me? Mr. Bose? Got a couple million for resear....I MEAN marketing?

"Peak Music Output Power" or "Peak Momentary Power Output"
RMS is on average about 2-3% of PMPO
The vendor of the product calculates PMPO based on the maximum power output of the device under perfect conditions and 100% efficiency. These conditions are impossible to obtain, and no device can sustain the PMPO power for any significant length of time without being ruined. But RMS [root mean squared] (aka Sine of 45 degrees, or the square root of .5) or .70710678120 It still doesn't add up to nearly 2000 watts. 3 divided by Sine of 45 is still only 4.24 watts. It just doesnt add up. (maybe I missed something?) Even if it could achieve 2000 watts, it would be entirely DC which would render the unit destroyed and results in it going in the garbage. (Where it belongs anyway). I hate people that brag about bullsh*t power ratings. Peak is pretty much meaningless in sound ratings. Here's a typical conversation.
Me: "my stereo at home is 3 100 watt amplifiers"
Some dumb kid: "that sucks, My car stereo is 1000 watts"
Me: Peak?
Sdk: Of course
Me: Peak ratings are bullsh*t, even if you could obtain such a current, it would be almost entirely DC which will destroy your speakers [which probably suck anyway] It's advertised at peak ratings so morons like you who know nothing about the physics of sound will buy their below mediocre merchandise and think you bought something loud.
Sdk: (pause) So?
Me: lemme give you a quick lesson, Peak is equal to the RMS, or usuable AC current over .70 . Keyword, Peak, meaning lasting a short period of time.
Sdk: What does that mean?
:finger:
Just had to get that off my chest....

Sdk: Hey, I've got an extra hundred dollars left over from buying spoilers and blinking LEDs for my Yugo.
Me: Well, here is a HTIB for 99.99 that has 10000 WATTS YW (you wish...but I don;t tell him that) you should put this in your house, so it can be as loud as your car.
Sdk: Cool!
Me: It sure is kid! And look at all the flashing lights! one of 'em is even blue, like the really expensive stuff.
Sdk: Here's my money sir!
Me: I'll have the silver Modena cabrio please. Hey! A blue light on the dash! Cool!

Come on guys, it's not everyday you can get a killer subwoofer that goes all the way down to 80Hz! :scratch2:
How can you call it a sub when it doesn't even go below the standard crossover for a sub on a pre? :thumbsdn:
As for the 2000W? Just push the speakers directly into the wall sockets... :D

You know, I'm actually thinking this is a good idea. Anyone want in, PM me. In real life, I'm an advertising executive and I know how to get on QVC.
THEN we can all buy Krell ::lmao::
