Hi all...I have a question. My brother would like to start building a system...and he wants to go for an HT set-up. He doesn't have much money to spend on the system...but does want something decent.
What is a good CHEAP DD reciever that's also a decent amp...if it has pre-outs that would even be better.
any suggestions/comments/questions?
thanks!

Ya know, I would bet you could get a number of things even with pre outs for rather cheap. I don't know what "cheap" is but for instance. A buddy of mine here in town picked up a used Harman Kardon AVR 510 just like the one I use for around 450.00 from Circuit Chitty. (new this machine pushes a grand) This is a beautiful AVR with Logic 7, nice musical sound and pre outs to boot. At 75 watts per channell driving all 5 why it works just fine.
I would tell him to look at a year or two older models in any line as he should be able to snag a strong unit for rather "cheap". Check vendors on line, even e bay.
