dgwojo 01-06-2005, 09:14 PM Bringing a couple A-7s???
If I can fit them in my Windstar I'd like to bring a set, I think Grumpy mentioned that tables will be $20 for equipment demos. It's tough to decide what to bring, the A7's, the Model 19's, or the 604's, all have their own unique qualities. It would also be neat to try some tube gear with any of them since I never tried that. The Model 19's are just garage speakers for now, they need finishing, structerally they're there!! The A7's are loaded with 515 woofs, 802 drivers, 511B horns, and EV ST-350A tweets, IMAX competition!! The latest 604's are the 604-8H models, these are the sweetest 604's I've ever heard!! Decisions, decisions, decisions, I just need a truck, then we could bring some of everything and invite Pink Floyd as suggested last year.
:dunno:
dgwojo 01-06-2005, 09:16 PM Can't forget the backs of the 604-8H's!!

What no vacation ???
No ride? :worried:
What's up ?

Sandy G 01-08-2005, 10:02 PM Worse than all that...No dinero...too many expenses from Christmas. Me bad-G/f has 3 little nieces who turned on the charm & Yrs Trly went WAY overboard...little girls can easily do that...especially to an old batchelor whose never had kids. One, especially, has me FIRMLY wrapped around her little finger. She has a father, but no daddy...but she has me. -Sandy G.
krimney 01-16-2005, 08:29 PM Anyone know how far the hotel is from the Detroit airport? Anyone plan to be flying in to Detroit on Friday? Share cab or rental with 2-3 others??
grumpy 01-16-2005, 08:48 PM Let me see if I can be of any help.

botrytis 02-11-2005, 09:25 AM Grumpy knows that more of the local contingent will be there, like Ski, Andyman, tinear, myeslf, etc. That will add in quite a few!!
I know a few non-members who are going to show up - don't worry Grumpy - they don't know a certain person who makes cables!!
Dave
LBPete 02-12-2005, 12:26 AM There’s a pretty good chance I’ll be there. I’m wrangling a business trip to a supplier in Wixom for a meeting on Monday April 11th. So far it’s looking good. I’d fly into Detroit on Saturday. Probably won’t get there until early evening. Is there anything going on Saturday night?

surfdoc37 02-13-2005, 01:23 AM Where's MICHIGAN? Isn't that on the Iditarod route somewhere? :huge:
I'll bring my ice bore so we can bang a few walleye together... :drunk:
Does BOSTON play there? Someone told me they disbanded a while back...??
Still playing at my house... :dunno: :withstpd:
HEY from the LEFT coast! :thmbsp: Wish I could be there, too many planes to catch to make it happen from my location!! :pity:
Guess my priorities are all screwed up--!!??
Can I catch it on DVD?? :dammit:
cabinover 02-13-2005, 07:18 AM Is there a shuttle between the airport and the hotel available? I could rent a car but it's kinda senseless for just a day. Ken, when are you getting in to Detroit? I'd share a cab fair and an adult beverage or 2 with ya!
DTW is the airport I want isn't it? Bob
botrytis 02-13-2005, 11:00 AM Bob,
That is the airport you want.
Dave
grumpy 02-13-2005, 11:12 AM Metro airport is where most are coming from. There is City airport but I never been there.
If all who are flying in and need rides contact me I will see what I can do.
Sat Night we will prolly just head out for a bite to eat a maybe a brew if ya like. Sat a few of us have to be at the hotel early to help setup so it wont be a late one.
Downtown Royal oak is about 5 miles from the hotel and there is always something going on there in the evening be it music, shopping or martini bars :)
Grumpy

Oh my eye's, my bloody eye's :lmao:
cabinover 02-13-2005, 06:55 PM I think maybe I'll get out there Friday night, have some dinner and a brew and then be up to lend a hand Saturday morning for anyone that needs one.
IS IT APRIL YET??????? I'm psyched, even though the wife isn't all that keen on the idea. Could be worse, I could hunt and fish every season!
krimney 02-13-2005, 09:56 PM I'm actually flying into Windsor friday early and getting a ride to the hotel.
My cheap flight goes as follows.:
Leave Calgary at 9:55pm fly to Edmonton (1 hr flight)
Leave Edmonton at 00:30am friday morning and fly to Toronto(4 hr flight)
Leave Toronto at 8:15am and fly to Windsor(1hr 15 min flight)
So it's 3 flights, 3 plane changes and then a car ride for me to make it.
Coming home it's Windsor > Toronto > Calgary.
Cabinover, Krimney
We'll be look'in for you guys !
I'm guessing we will be able to pick Krimney outta the crowd.
That's difinitely a red eye your taking !
Safe journey guys :thmbsp:
See ya there !
Army
I'll be there. Maybe bringing some bi-amped Altecs, La Scalas, stuff to swap, etc.
BTW - I live about 30-45 minutes from the festivities and will have room at my place if anybody needs it.
cabinover 03-07-2005, 05:18 AM Here's my schedule for the flight
Arrive DTW: Friday, 04/08/05 at 2:21PM
Leave DTW: Sunday, 04/10/05 at 5:01PM
Now I need to call the hotel.....
Hope to be having a coffee Sat morning listening to some tunes
Bob
matt39 03-08-2005, 04:40 AM I'll be there after work on Saturday. Looking forward to putting some faces together with names. See you then.
Billfort 03-09-2005, 10:29 AM It looks like my business plans have changed so I will be showing up Friday afternoon, staying for the whole weekend. I'll be driving down from Toronto instead of flying so might bring along a few pieces and will have a trunk to fill with vinyl, tubes, Altec and JBL woofers (Kamakiri :) ) for the drive home.
Markus111 03-10-2005, 10:46 PM Hello All,
I'm a new registered user, living in SE Michigan. Here I've been lamenting that there hasn't been an AudioFest in Lima in a few years, and then I stumble onto this site and find that there will be a gathering right in Southfield. How cool is that? I'll definitly be there, and I'm looking forward to it!
