I am in the process of purchasing these units from a guy online.
KR-7400 - 25 bucks plus shipping
KR-3090 - 19 bucks plus shipping

Are these good prices for the units. They look to be in MINT shape and one of them ( cant remember which) comes with the original box.

Right now I have a Pioneer SX-650 are either one of these better than it in quality? I know its a subjective question but I figured I would put it out there.

Not bad at all for the KR-7400, I have had a KR-6400 for over 20 years, it's 45 watts a side, the KR-7400 was one up from that. My KR-6400 still has all the original lights burning, and has a really nice tuner too. I think they are under appreciated, comparable Marantz units would go for much more.

From what I have found out the 3090 is a 25wpc receiver. Should I get this one or should I pass on this?

I am thinking about passing since I am limited on space. Your thoughts?

Looks like 27 watts a side for the KR-3090, not worth a lot on ebay, but "worth" is a loaded word. Heck, make room, you can never have too much beer or receivers. I would say the KR-7400 is the one to have of the 2.

Here is a CMC stereo catalog pic of the KR-7400. I also have a nice, detailed 4 page color foldout brochure of the KR-7400 that I'd be happy to send the scans of if you get the receiver. Let me know.

The scans would be awesome.

I got the 7400 today in UPS.

Unfortuently looks like several lights are toats and it needs a good scrubbing on the inside.

I also need two more positive speaker terminals for the back of the unit. Oddly enough they are missing.

Sounds great though.
