I really cant stand it but its what I use. My question is How the hell can I stop all these am programs from starting when the computer is booted. This crap just slows me down. I tried to DL one of the disable system restore program but the Damn thing wont run :mad: The wonders of Microsoft !

Did you try run MSCONFIG? You can then uncheck all the programs you don't want to run.

I don't remember if which versions of Windows has this.

Thanks Thoots that helped some. But I still cant get the system restore disabler to run. Its a bit faster but I still hate ME ! one of these days I will try XP.

Says file corrupt or something like that. I can dL it but I get that error when I lauch it. I tried atleast 3 diff version made by three diff companies of that program. Something aint right for sure and its prolly with this F*cking HP puter ....its a POC ! I just reformatted and I am gonn be so pissed if I gotta do it again. If I could afford it I would pick up a dell. I aint ready to give up if you aint MR Thoots.
