Well you certainly do have some mighty nice equipment there MikE. Those speakers are especially beautiful. Just be carefully talking about them there high fa-lootin' cables around these parts. Some of the boys here don't take to kindly to that kinda talk. :p:
Very Nice.

It's pretty ironic, I used to be a cable and pc guru, and now all I want to talk about is my SET amp (though I probably have more Hi-End umbilicals than the average guy). But whatever works I say, and vintage tubes and SET is what works for me!

Whats that round thing behind the speaker on the first pic? is it cement? Is that a bowl of cereal on the coffee table? or is it chowder? Sweet looking system dood ;)
The "round thingies" are ASE TubeTrap bass traps, acoustical tuning devices. It's cereal (that wasn't supposed to be there!) what can I say, it was late and I was in a hurry.

"acoustical tuning devices"
??? Whats that? An empty tube that you position to give you better bass?
I think "acoustical tuning devices" come pre-packaged with the $5ooo speaker wire and the snake oil! :)
What's all the rocks in your livingroom for?:dunno:
Nice equipment ~ !

That is one hell of a system!
You made me jealous ;) I bet may a night has been spent lost in music.
What sources do you have?
Chris
Thor, here's the ASE webpage that will explain the concept behind their products. In my limited experience I have found them to be expensive but powerful tools to improve your room (an often neglected component). http://www.acousticsciences.com/index-original.htm
Kelly, my ENTIRE system is linked at the bottom of every post; "MikE's Vacuum Tube Logic System". My source is a antiquated ('96) AA dds.pro transport, AA dtipro.32 jitter filter/algothrim device, AA ddev3.0 dac, MPS power supply, all linked with Audio Magic Mystic Reference silver i2s digital cables.
You're right, many nights ARE spent drifting off. While not for everyone, I LuV My system. And while far from the SOTA, it leaves me grasping for things I would change. I have ALL these projects in mind, but have no interest in starting them.
