I have a set of T-300 pa speakers. One of the small Piezo horns is burned out and one of the 10" woofers is blown. I'd like to fix these but are not going to spend a lot of $ to do it. Are these woofers 16 ohms? Does anyone have an extra 10 or piezo?

Don't know that specific model number... but most Peavey peizo tweeters, are just standard CTS/Motorola units. You should easily be able to get a replacement.

As for the 10" woofer... my guess, is that probably the cheapest thing to do thejob right, is likely to just be getting the woofer reconed. I'd guess, like maybe $50-60 for a recone on a 10" woofer, and it'd be good as new. Most any reconing shop that does PA repairs should be able to fix that woofer in short order. BTW- is it a Scorpion or a Sheffield or something like that?

You should easily be able to get it all fixed for less than $100, total, in any case...

Regards,
Gordon.

gordon,
it's not a scorpion, don't think it's a Shefield. I think it is a 16 ohm woofer, has square magnet on back

Piezos are literally a dime a dozen on e-bay. Search for horn speakers. You might check the DIY thread on this forum, or partsexpress.com for the woofer, or a re-cone kit. Also on eBay, but as always, buyer beware.

Peavey or even Parts Express should be able to supply you with a Peavey cone replacement. And yes, CTS, Motorola piezo's are everywhere and dirt cheap. Make sure the inline resistor going to the piezo is okay. Look for a model number stamped somewhere on the woofer.
