I hope this is the place to post this, as I'm still having some problems viewing. As of now, I seem to be able to post in the classifieds, but can't view the images. When I click on the links, I get the "no access..." message.
Just thought I'd give a heads up. Thanks!

I have the same problems periodically.
I get *red X boxes* on some of the smilies, such as "rofl". But it may be my PC. :scratch2:

I have the same problem. I can't view pictures in the classified section. I thought it might be because I'm a newbie around here, but I guess others have the problem too. I emailed the administrator about the problem. I understand the new requirement to have a certain post number before listing, but viewing pix should be allowed, don't you think?

I think I fixed the problem. I've been forced to deal with a few bugs in the vBulletin permissions stack so thank you for your patience while I pull my hair out. ;)
Could those of you will less than 100 posts who were having the picture viewing problems see if it's fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I can't reply in the classifieds section either. Does Jon have to manually "approve" each poster? If so, Jon, please put me in the 'que'. Thanks!!

I can't reply to anything in the classified section as of today so seems to be a systemic issue of some sort. If not, please advise...

Cleve, texas and bolly please try now. This is def. a bug in vB and I am tweaking it as best I can. Again, thanks for your patience.
Oh, and I do not have to approve posters. It is supposed to be done by the promotions stack in vB but it's not working properly.

Hi jonnerd154, just tried again and no go.(I've noticed the "edit" tab in the lower right corner of each post window is missing, when it's there, I can post)

FWIW:
I can't post in the classified section either which is suprising since I am easily the most beloved member here. Here is the error message:

DingusBoy, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

OK, I'm not doing anything and permissions are changing. I am SO lost. Have any of the other admins been in there playing with things?
Jon, who is still working on this most aggrevating problem with 99% of his hair pulled out.

Ok, I tried some different things...but as always it's a shot in the dark.
Wanna try again guys?
Thank you for the helpful attitude you all have. Some forums I work with would have already castrated me even tho I'm only trying to help. :)

LOL, I just removed the restrictions. We are going to work something out and test the crap out of it before implementing it. Last time I rely on VB to be bug free! Sorry again for all the problems.

Is it vB that has the bugs, or the vB code that you are dealing with?

Wha? Sorry, I think you lost me. The vBulletin software (PHP code) that powers this site has bugs.

Can't open any of the message areas, from their tabs... here's what it says:
There seems to have been a slight problem with the AudioKarma.org Discussion Forums database.
Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser.
An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, who you can also contact if the problem persists.
We apologise for any inconvenience.
I can go DIRECTLY to a thread shown on the main page (as in 'last post"), and I can open the thread... but it gurus again as soon as I try to go to the index of that message area...
Regards,
Gordon.

Have to use the Post Quick Reply tab to reply. The regular Post Reply tab gives me the error message. All functions seem to work except New Posts, which gives me the same error as well. Also seems Chat has been disabled.

It should be obvious to everyone by now that AK is experiencing some system problems. Posting nonsense is not helping the current situation. Just chill out and let the admins sort this out.

The following is likely unrelated, but I thought it couldn't hurt sharing. Our Lansing Heritage vBulletin forum started generating errors around a month ago when we upgraded to PHP 4.3.10. However, the error message seen by our users was "HTTP 500 Internal Server Error". The problem was resolved when we dropped back to PHP 4.3.9. Subsequent investigation revealed that version 10 has numerous unresolved bugs that have been widely reported by users.

I looked into that too - check your php.ini with the newest release of 4.3.10. The bugs have been fixed, but require a few tweaks in the php.ini. I would love to tell you what tweaks but I have forgotten as I did this a long time ago. Sorry!
The current situation is a problem with the health of the database. I tried to fix it but I have limited knowledge of database repair. Someone smarter than myself is now working on it and I am sure will have it fixed soon. I will stick to working on the business logic and frontend interaction from now on. :)
