For those looking for a a speaker that can rock the house loose from its foundation and still have the detail and finesse to play blues and classical these are the speaker for that.

Just make sure you feed these gobs of power or they will start looking to snack on your amp :)

Grumpy should know, I got my original pair from him. However they aren't a picky as a pair of F's I know of. I've run them just fine with 100 watts, but they sure sound better with 300 plus. Even ran them with a NOSValves 65w tube mono blocks.

A word of warning, these are capable of SPL levels that will make your body hurt for days.

Also forgot to mention, these are too big to ship. Delivery to AK fest or willing to possible delivery or meet part way.

I know someone with a nice Accuphase amp that would drive them nicely, same guy even has a nice Mac amp that matches your pre-amp..

Boy wouldn't I like to have them and run those and my CV's all at once ;) Is that a spare pair Punker? If so did you ever run all 4 at once? :thmbsp:

Yes this was the extra pair, did run them all at once, quite loud and over powering. Main thing I did was use them in A/B tests while I upgraded my first pair. New woofers with Sub-bass activators, new upper woofer with Sub-bass activators, new low tweeters from 1 1/2 to a 2 inch dome and upgraded the caps in the crossovers.

i'd like to trade a particular preamp for those particular speakers then rob "that guy" that has the accuphase to drive those speakers.. what do you think my chances are? i'm well armed... :D

Still have that ZR1600? I'd love to here the Ohm's with a big Carver amp.

In my house these have a much better WAF than those LaScala's did...

I do still have it, but its going to be going up for sale soon. With the twins on the way, I'm under spouses orders to start to move out some of my stereo stuff. The 1600 is going to be the hardest to part with! :sigh:

Punker I am setting up a system at the fest with a sx-1050 and a pair of OHM Walsh 4's.If you still have the I's and would like to demo them in my room aside my walsh 4's, you would be welcome to do so.I would love to hear the comparison myself. Thanks Jim

always wanted to here some 4's, I'll be bringing the I's, If they were'nt so big, I'd bring both pair and you could compare what the originals sound like against the upgraded version. Not sure what else I'm bringing. Probably my Marantz's and Pair of VTL MD-100's

Absolutely Mike, once i get the monster back from EW would be glad to have you over, I heard these two together for about 5-6 hours at the fest and just fell in love with them, first speaker i heard with the amp that could A( take what it had to offer B) sounded absolutely brilliant with it!!! :thmbsp:

Any word about your amp yet Mike?
