Chocolat

Ok, so I'm five years late to the table on this one, but I just watched Chocolat for the first time ever. All I can say is that is was one damn fine movie. I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't this. Juliette Binoche was fantastic in her lead role.

Anyone else like this one? Hate it?

Loved it, yep, not what I expected either. One of those must haves in the collection. If you liked that one try Under a Tuscan Sun <----- I think that is what it's called.

Loved it, too. It's my wife favorite movie, and we watch it once a year or more. Also a great DVD for both picture quality and sound; the soundtrack CD is also great.

Yep...saw if for the first time last year and liked it fine. However, I was surprised to see that it received some bad reviews. Didn't it gather some awards at the Oscars?

I would dispute the "chick flick" moniker. Juliette Binoche looked so fine in this flick. Seeing her in the red shoes... :naughty:

Am I one of the few that thinks Johnny Depp, like Sean Connery, is a great actor that I like in virtually any movie I see?

I bought the soundtrack, just for the opening tune.
