Hello,
I have a Sansui TU-717 Tuner. The FM Stereo red LED is out and one of the Dial bulbs is out.

Does anyone know what voltage the dial bulbs are?

Does anyone know what voltage the LEDs are?

Where can I get easy to find replacement bulbs and LED?

If the main bulbs are not available, any suggestion (must be the same rating) for a retrofit?

Thanks

Some times you can read the voltage on the lamp them selves, other wise your going to need a service manual, and/or maybe a volt meter to test the circuit.

Can't help with the LED but I had to replace the dial lights on the TU417 and a friend, Sten, sent me this little schematic for the TU517 that shows the dial lamps at 8V 0.3A. I managed to find some at Parts Express that were very close in rating but much smaller in size. That was a while ago and they may have stock that is right on spec now. :dunno: Managed to fit them in okay. I expect that the TU717 uses the same lamp ratings.

Good luck with this and let me know if you find the right lamps somewhere.

cheers
Jack

MCM Electronics actually has a little better selection. Might try them.
