First of all, let me say this forum is almost better than.....well most things
I recently bought this tuner and I must say, it is fantastic!! It is one that has been modded by Chuck Rippel of Virginia audio/video labs and a great job he did. However, I am kind of a neatness freak and while the work inside is above reproach, The back side is less than perfect, but most would not concern themselves with this. The small board that would have the antenna connections is gone and Chuck just put a coax plug next to where they would have been. He drilled a hole in the rear panel to do this. Now for a guy who looks at this stuff day in and day out, not a big deal, but I would like to put the back panel back to original without disturbing any of his work. I know I am a bit long winded here, but I really would like to aquire a back panel and the antenna mounting plate with the resistors for the AM intact. Anyone ??

I just bought one for 55,-$ and the Unit is best working. I just have to clean it, change one knob and but new lights inside.

You should search on Ebay for a non working TX-8500II and use it for parts.

Hey,

Why not just email Chuck and see if he would send you one... I'm sure he has untold numbers of them around!
