I know this has probably been asked a gazillion times, but where in the US do I aquire some 8volt 50ma bulbs, I have a few that are out and what is the size of these bulbs?
On a lighter note, I just landed my second SA9900 amp. Now I am trying to decide where to put it. This means I need more equipment, I have a few odds and ends, uhh some other brand stuff, but I needed to upgrade. Now I have a good excuse, that's what I'm gonna tell her.
I haven't introduced myself yet as I am new on here...big suprise. I have always lusted, yes lusted after Pioneer equipment. I owned some back in the 70's, but it was on the low end of their line, but good equipment. Over the years I bought some of the black equipment and was somewhat ( the nicest way I can phrase it) dissapointed. But now I am back on track and very happy. To date I have aquired The two 9900's, a TX9500 II, a SG9500, and a pair of HPM 100's. I.m using a Denon CD until I locate one of those silver Pioneer cd decks. Good luck with that from what I have seen.
I work as a Industrial Electrician, do some PLC work and sometimes I actually get to repair a circuit board, most of them are throw aways these days. I tinker on the audio equipment, but lack the scope to do anything major. Are any of you still reading this or have I drove you on to another thread?
Enough for now, I have been reading the threads for a short while, I really like this place, the come as you are feature is the best.

I am assuming your looking for the bulbs with leads attached.
You can get them here. The current is a little less but they
should work fine.

Just for the info: i found some 8 volts / 60 mA (instead of 50mA) and they work just fine.

I think you can find these at any electronic store.

bowtie67,
That is a nice avatar you have there. That would be a fellow named "Ready Kilowatt" and he was the spokesperson for NSP or Northern States Power Company.

Thanks all for the info on the bulbs, I guess I was trying to hard to get the exact replacement and didn't need to. On the avatar, I actually found it on the side of a tube, but it didn't have a hardhat, a co-worker of mine added the hat. Where did you find the source for him Retro?

My Dad worked for Northern States Power for 39 years. He had patches of that little fellow on his work jackets.

ahh, that would be an excellent source, just by chance, you don't have any of the little fellows lying about do you? He must have been popular at one time. the tube he was on was quite old, and didn't have color to it. I thought it kinda fit me, I have had current run through me more than I care to remember...my young and foolish days, now I'm old and foolish, but I don't get shocked any longer.

Ready Kilowatt was also the animated spokesperson for Florida Power & Light back in the 1950's and 60's. Probably 1940's as well. I remember seeing him in their ads and commercials while growing up in South Florida.

Nowadays there are collectors for anything Ready Kilowatt. Kinda of an avid group of collectors from what I have seen.
