I remembered I had stashed a few in the hall closet years back and dug them out. Big Brother and the Holding Company is in bad shape but the cover is pretty good, some Herbie Mann, Al Hirt and at the bottom of the pile........In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, Iron Butterfly. Got it out and it looks like it has never been played or even handled. Got it cleaned up and 17 minutes of 68 phsychodelic rock. Wow, where is my strobe light? :smoke:

Black lights . . . beads on the door . . . uh, aren't you guys forgetting a certain "smokin'" accessory?

Saw Iron Butterfly in concert (what I remember of it) in the very early '70s. The drummer was so blasted he had to be propped up by a roadie -- but he did manage something like a 20-minute drum solo (time seemed to expand then, if you know what I mean) during the aforementioned In-A-Gadda-Get-Loaded hit. Think the lead guitarist died a few years ago under mysterious circumstances. It's all a hazy memory now.

If I knew I was going to live this long, I would have taken better care of myself. As it is, I want to run out of time and money simultaneously.
