I went into my local used vinyl shop, just browsing for something different, when I went to the counter and behind it is usually where they keep their better albums, when a guy was standing there and had a handful of albums. Now I missed what had transpired before that, the girl took one or two of the albums from him and he started walking off. I then asked her if that Beatles box was an album set, she said no, they are CD's. I wasn't interested, right then that same guy says to me, hey are you into albums? I go yea, I play them all the time, he says, you want these? Referring to the handful of albums he had, I said, ok, how much do you want for them? He says, they are going in the trash. I said ok, he hands them to me and I thank him and he walks off.
Now I set the albums down on the counter and start looking through them, mostly heavy metal albums, but a few I recognize, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Black Sabbath, AC/DC, a couple Talking Heads, The Police "Synchronicity" album, and a total of 22 all together. On the bottom was a box said Led Zeppelin set, I opened it, and unfortunately it was empty, but it did still contain the book that came with it. When I took them home and began looking through them, I was surprised to see what good condition they were in. Hardly a scratch on any of them, and all had the original inner sleeves also. I guess I was just in the right place at the right time, but you never know what you're going to encounter during a record hunt.
