I was listening to a music sat. channel last night as background music. A song caught my attention that I thought was cool, Souped-Up Ford by Rory Gallagher. This is the first time I heard of him or his music. So I'm wondering if this song is typical of his style or was this just an occasional gem?
Anyways I will try to find the album 'Against the Grain' that has this song.

He rocks right down to his toenails, but isn't expected to release any new albums. Especially "live" ones.

TA, you never know. There might be some previously unreleased recordings on somebody's shelf. OTT, I guess you're right.

We're trying to tell you he's pretty dead now. Departed a year or two ago I think.

Rory made over 30 albums, and they all sound great. 'Souped-up Ford' is a very good song, but he made even better! Get to know Rory Gallagher.
Particularly his live albums -e.g. 'Live in Europe', 'The Bullfrog interlude' and 'Irish tour' - are big fun to listen. To see him perform buy his DVD ‘Live at Rockpalast’. There are three shows on that DVD that will rock your socks off.
He and Jimmy Hendrix were the greatest guitar players ever in my humble opinion.

Rory Rocks!!!

He was the driving force in Taste before he went out on his own. I saw him in a bar called Humpin' Hannah's back in Milwaukee in the early 70s'. 20' from him. Red plaid shirt, Messin' with the Kid, Bullfrog Blues, Laundromat.

Great stuff!!

Rory Gallagher (http://www.rorygallagher.com/html/), and
Roy Buchanan (http://www.roybuchanan.com/).

Classic blues rockers. When they came out on stage, they came at ya! :thmbsp:
