I love their music, very avante garde. I used to have Trans Europe Express years ago. Hard to describe their music in just a few terms, almost hypnotic quality to it.

I would highly recommend going. Fantastic live show act. Thats if you're into minimalism of course even as an escape.

Fon fon fon, onda auto-bon.....

Geez, I remember rocking out to them in the 70's. While they may not have been the first to use synthesizers they probably were the first to have large selling albums using them.

That's a band I'd like to see! I was introduced to Kraftwerk back in 1980. My buddy and I where in Edmonton renting a basement suite. He'd play Trans Europe Express album alot. I didn't like them at first but eventually got use to them. Man Machine was a pretty cool album back in its day. At one point I had acquired a whole pile of their tunes and I guess I over played the stuff and eventually found it annoying. I still have Autobaun and Trans Europe Express and a few others which I listen to occasionally.
Autobaun was their first or second album back in 71 or 72 and definitely a pioneering work that spawned the beginning of electronic music. Other pioneers were Tangerine Dream, Vangelis and perhaps Emerson lake & Palmer.
I heard a story don't know if its true but Kraftwerk had a concert that they weren't even present at. Apparently they had robot type manakins on stage with their recorded music and they were miles away at another concert, who knew?
Hope you enjoy the show! ;)

That is an old wives tale. That is song Robots performed which is automated and yet very cool. The newer shows are better than the older 70's shows in a very big way. Last year the second show hadn't sold well but the day after the first show it sold out from people wanting to experience what they had seen the night before. People had snapped up all the scalper tickets as well and were walking the line to get in begging for an extra ticket. People cheered them on inside like I've have never seen at a concert, like a Barry Bonds home run not just a group performing a song. Don't miss a chance to experience them!

Like I said B4, any group w/a "Ralf" & a "Florian" is just too kewl...gets "Der Fatherland" juices flowing in this 3/4 Kraut...<grin>-Sandy G.
