OK, I'll admit it: I posted this first on AA :-( But I didn't get any concrete answer, so I figured I'd ask y'all.

Based on the FM thread [a few days ago at AA], I pulled out my hoary copy of "Fleetwood Mac" and my wife's original "Rumours" (we have a copy of the Nautilus LP, too) to listen to -- first time in a long time. While listening to the eponymous FM album, I was looking at the inner sleeve of "Rumours" that has the lyrics on the inside and a montage of photos on the outside. There's a fellow in several of the photos that looks like Lowell George. Anyone know if it is, and if so what his connection was?

It depends what Lowell George looks like -- I think you are talking about the big guy with longish brown hair, in which case its the producer, whose name eludes me for the moment (Bill Szymzeck (sp?)?), whose work on the Buckingham Nicks album had caught Mick Fleetwood's interest, and whose studio the record was produced at.
On the other hand, the sort of weedy blond guy with big glasses is Bob Welch, their previous guitarist.

Long dark hair and a beard; indeed seen with someone else at the mixing console in one photo. I thought Bill Symzyk was a big guy; the person in question is pretty svelte (although Lowell ended up pretty portly by the time of his demise).

Interesting to know that Bob Welch is in there, too!

Thanks, Nat!
