auction finished ... highest bid was AUD $330, but reserve not met ... hmmmm

Wonder what he wanted for it? RichM suggested it was probably worth about AUD $500-ish. Unfortunately the seller had no BIN so impossible to say?

Wonder if he'll relist with more realistic reserve? Hope so!!

Yeah, hard to tell what he wanted. Try to email him, maybe?

There's very little PL stuff around so maybe most people aren't familiar with their gear. We'll see what happens next...

Well it's back on again, this time with a starting bid at A$330. Don't think he has a reserve so the time might be right, however if it gets up near $500 I'm out ...

OK, how do you tell if he has a reserve or not?:) I've been trying to work out if there's a way that does not involve emailing the seller.

Good luck with it. It's a nice piece and quite unique with the facility for back channels. I only just noticed that.

I just assumed that if it didn't mention "reserve not met" then there wasn't one. Maybe I am incorrect.

It didn't go so well last time, and I think he wantd too much for it, so hopefully I can pick it up for a better price.

Yep, if you bid and do not see a "reserve not met" then either you are above the reserve price or there was none. I used to set reserve prices, but how in heck can people know what that is unless you tell them? So now I just set the starting price at the least amount I will sell for, though I won't be putting anything up until Fall at the earliest, still have a receiver on the bench (when I can get to it), and I have to re-foam and refinish the Infinity RSa pair that I bought.

There's no way it should fetch much more than that $330AUS unless Bob Carver will personally deliver it to your house. Perhaps if the original box, packing materials and manual are present it may be worth $500AUS. I sold one in pristine condition for about the equivalent of $400AUS and that wasn't in the dead of summer.
