Jeff, I'm sorry that you lost your friend, but, do you think that the AK SportsCenter is really the forum in which to post your lament?

Awww, don't be so hard on the guy ! I lost my beloved "Junior", a Doberman, back in '93, & I still miss him. Anybody that says dogs can't talk has never really had one-Junior & I would have LOOOONG conversations about things-and never spoke a word. He died in Nov '93, & I don't care to tell you, I cried like a little baby. If I'd been able to have kept Fritz, I feel like he & I would have been almost as close as Junior & I were.-Sandy G.

I didn't expect the bleedin' Spanish Inquisition!
EDIT: BTW, I understand the sting of the loss of a pet, so I do offer my condolences. Heck, in the course of my life we've had fish that lived 10 years... and it's sad to even lose one of those!

I feel your pain.
I ran over a dog on the way home from work yesterday.
I was sick to my stomach.
I rationalize it this way: The dog saw me coming and waited until I was next to him before running into the road in front of me. I figure it was suicide.
I still don't feel any better, though.

Tjetracer, sorry about the dog. happened to me one night, black lab in the middle of the road, didnt see him till he looked up at the last minute. still bums me out and it was 10 years ago... i had to put a pet down 2 years ago and it broke my damn heart, cried like a baby. pets just love, dont ask much, and give mostly pleasure (except the late night barking). frankly they are nicer than most people.
