I've got this Beatles record that is press conferences. Dated 1964-recorded in Cincinnati, Ohio and Indianapolis, Indiana. The only thing it says on the record itself is "Beatle Press Conference". It is a really thin record, 7 inch, 33 1/3, even has a small hole like an album! Was this some kind of giveaway to the "fan club members"? It looks to flimsy to be used by a radio station. Somebody give me the lowdown on this thing.

What record company is it. If none coulda just been a Station Promo. I have some of hendrix's radio interviews on Vinyl but they are imports.

Could be a freebie that some music mags used to have taped to the front. Very thin and floppy and sometimes in cool colours. A 7in at 33rpm would be highly unusual though.

It's printed label not paper. It says in caps
"BEATLE
PRESS CONFERENCE
Side 1 * 33 1/3 rpm
Side 2
Flip side"
The spindle hole is in-between "side 1" and "33 1/3 rpm"

Along the leadout groove it says"MFG IN USA BY EVA-TONE DEERFIELD, ILL"
The stamper number(?) on side one is--111764A

There is absolutely nothing printed on side two except for a stamper number(?) molded in the leadout-- 111764B

That is ALL the printed info on this thing. I hope it's enough
car67, I had forgotten about the music mags, weren't they square? Somewhere I've got cereal box records of the Archies doing "Sugar, Sugar"

Brad,

All the freebies I saw were round but I'm sure there were some square ones too. And all had the info printed rather than a stuck on-label. LOL, I remember the cereal box singles too but my older sis had to buy "sugar, sugar":)

How times have changed, a box of cheerios the other day had a free cd-rom game in it...

As much as I love the Fab Four, I am not sure about the item you are inquiring about. But I can direct you to a site like www.beatlelinks.net or www.stevehoffman.tv and someone there might know. I know there is also a magazine called Goldmine that deals in this sortve thing, I imagine they have a website where you could perhaps post a question.

Thanks BeatlFred,
I'm still checking out those sites. I found one interview, still looking for the other.
