Has anyone had any experience with this? Have not tried it yet - I doubt I have anything that will work with it.

Well, such a device would be convenient to have- so as to keep from moving your butt up off the couch to adjust the volume when you are listening to different cd's and some are louder than others but I dont know offhand which Sansui models have a jack to accept the cable output coming from the remote in order to activate the remote function. Perhaps some of the later 80's models. I do know that the audio company Creek makes such devices that you can simply connect into your system between pre/power amp section.

Ah, I believe my hunch is correct about using the remote with 80's model Sansui's. How do I know? The 504 in the serial # from your photo which indicates that this device was made in April 1985. However, the question then is, which models?, because using my '85 AU-G77X integrated for example, looking in the back, there is no provision for any jack of any kind for a remote control device. B/F.

ps- and even if there wasnt a serial #, the keen observation can be made that it dates from the 80's because the remote shows cd on button. No cd players in the 70's which rules out that decade. B/F.

Interesting piece wjahn. If it can be made to work with any of the older components that would be very cool. I'd get one just so that I can get rid of the NAD(with remote) that I keep for watching movies.

cheers
