This amp was just finished up by Echowars. All that shitty dried glue was cleaned off the board and its ready to rock !

Cosmetically its looking good. Rack handles have some scratches but if they bother ya pull em off or repaint em. Price 285.00 Plus shipping. Pics coming.

I'll throw in my $0.02.

The regulator board has been completely rebuilt. It is by far the #1 source of problems with the 517 and 717. All the old electrolytics were removed, and any resistor that the glue so much as even touched was also removed, as well as the 13V zeners. The glue was completely removed, and the resistors replaced with 1% metal film, and the original 500mW zeners replaced with 1W zeners.

The speaker relay was removed and cleaned, and the amplifier driver boards also completely rebuilt with new caps and new trimpots (bias and offset both). Output transistors removed, cleaned, and new heatsink grease applied.

A couple of marginal transistors in the preamp were replaced, as well as few caps (done on both channels so they would properly match). All switches and pots were slathered with DeOxit, and the whole package is ready to rock.

I measured power output at 118WPC, and distortion even as high as 100W was around 0.01%. :thmbsp:
