Knew it was coming but it was still kind of funny. Watched Weird Al's movie UHF for the first time yesterday and thought it had no redeeming values, was trite and used the motifs from too many other movies to actually let it come close to being a good movie. I of course liked it, but it is on my long list of "Don't need to see it again."
If you haven't seen it there are some really funny bits in it, some possibly original and it will go good with a couple of beers and extra time on your hands.

If you haven't seen it there are some really funny bits in it,

Two scenes come to mind...

1. The scene in the limo, the look on Michael Richards' face when he finally realizes he has been kidnapped.

2. The scene when the karate guys burst out of the "supplies closet".

The pet segment with the aforementioned "Badgers" joke is IMHO the most surreal part of the movie. On a related subject, one time Roger Ebert came to Madison (WI) to introduce a showing of "The Treasure of Sierra Madre". Since the UW's mascot is Bucky Badger, he used said pun and was greeted with the sound of hundreds of people groaning.

I saw it the day it opened as I'm a *big* Weird Al fan. How big you may ask? My name is Al and my birthday is 10/23. Same as Weird Al.

Check out the bonus features. I think they're even funnier than the movie. A few Easter eggs hidden in there if you poke around.

When he noted he had tons of unused footage that stinks on ice, I nearly blew soda out the wrong holes. ROTFL
