The AU-6900 is the next model down from the AU-7900. The Line is mentioned briefly with some pics at www.sansui.us ( Select Amplifiers from homepage there). Its a mid 70's model- the exact year- as I have said before on this Site to people, can be determined by the 3rd digit of the s/n in the back. So, if you see 4 or 5, its 197->4 or '7->5. I have the brochure for this model which gives the details on it. Its 60 Watts.

Hey there Fred. :) That Sansui serial no ID has been really handy for me.. I've databased all my Sansui gear with factory line numbers/year/month etc.. so its all there in plain english.. I was quite amazed to discover my SD7000 RTR was the 3rd one made in January of 1970! :) So thats ones a oldie and the thing still goes fine 33 years later.. Good 'ol Sansui huh?- Quality gear never dies:D
Cheers
Glen
PS- Do you recall my post ages ago about the Pioneer serial number ID ie- the first two letters indicating the year and month of manufacture?? Has anyone else apart from myself worked that out too? Its 100% accurate too. When u have a lot of gear and brochures to go with them, put them both together its not hard..hehe ;)

Yes, Aug 76 is correct on the AU-6900:)
Hi Glen- Glad to hear the Sansui s/n info has been useful to you. The Pioneer s/n info was very useful to me.
Interesting that you mention the SD-7000. I just received a 1970 Sansui catalog/brochure in the mail earlier today that I obtained via Ebay- guess what's in there? :)
