I thought I would throw this out to all the Michigangers (and even clese Canadian members). I think it is time to think about having a summer get together for music, stereo, beer, and fun!! If you are interested, how about posting here and who is willing to host.
I could host again, no problems!!

Dave:
Count me in. If we don't have plans whatever day we choose; I'll be there.
Unfotunately, I won't be able to host as there's just too much going on around here to squeeze in a dozen or so audio guys, plus, aside from my "acoustically perfect" garage, there's no place to set up gear.
I'll be more than happy to bring some gear though. The Amarro A205 SEP amp and the DCM Time Windows would be my top offerings right now.

I could host an event at my house in Algonac if it is near the end of summer.Becky just had surgery and will be down for a couple of months. We should be good to go around mid August.

I would love to attend and have some gear that might be of interest. I surely do not
have the right place for hosting as I barely have room for me "LOL" to move around.
A friend of mine in auburn hills or pontiac I believe it is "right by the silverdome" may
be able to host and be willing if no one else is!
There are some local guys on the klipsch forums that do these if we need/want more
attendies we could probably get some.
Just my 2 cents for what it's worth.

Sounds like a plan! I can bring the brew.
I was just talking to Grumpy the other day about having one at my place on the weekend of the Downriver Cruise. It's kinda like the Woodward Dream Cruise. I live right off the main strip.

Any tentative dates?

No dates yet - looking for feedback from everyone. We may be able to do more than one get together.
Dave
If you guys wanted to hang at my place it would be June 25th. My place is kinda small so it would probably wind up being more of a "having a few beers and shooting the breeze" type thing.

We'll bring the food and the beer. You are on your own for the Mad Dog.
...and you don't need to clean the house.

Anytime anyone wants to show up to spin tunes...and sip a few ...is OK with me...like I said... I have many ammenities(sp) here and close by that we could go for days....DAYS!! I tell ya!!!!!!!!!
Party store and produce/meat market is a 1/2 mile up the road...its a nice little quiet rural community......no hustle and bustle of the big city!....just kick back ...and relax with good suds and good tunes.... :smoke:
And if someone wants to bring their pop-up camper...all the better!...LOL...I gots lots of room!...
Damn I wish you fella's weren't so far away :sigh:
I miss all the fun
Gary you get the place rock'in, fire up the grill, and tip a couple for me.
I'll do the same on my end, best we can do long distance :thmbsp:

Hey Army, let's do something in Iowa. It is kinda central.

Hi Steve
I've been trying to get the Misses talked into Minifest at our place later this summer. She's a bit wornout after a wedding a month ago and a College graduation party last week.
Mrs Army is down with pnuemonia. She's not getting this whipped very fast
As it stands right now I've got the weekend of August 27th penciled in if your interested. Soon as Mrs.A is back on her feet, I'll try and get this chiseled in stone and I'll send out a thread invite to everyone.

Well my reasoning for not responding to going very far from warren is I've recently
been quite low on funds "for many reasons" and don't have a reliable vehicle most
of the time these days.
But I have a little time to do "some" straigtening up around here and could have 3 or
4 guests for some gear/tunes listening just about anytime. I won't be providing any
more than the place and the gear, I usually have a few beers and some pops around
but that's about it.
We can just listen or make an extended session and do some compairing. The earlier
someone would come by the more we could get done, it doesn't have to be a weekend
day either as of now I'm off work for awhile. You could even just come by yourself if
wanted that way you get what ever you want to hear and sit in the sweet spot.
As of now we have 300B SET setup on some DCI panels or the klipsch with external
xovers. we can single amp/bi amp/tri amp, with or with out sub. I have some home
brew bookshelves with ribbon tweeters. I have some classic recievers or just some
big old solid state amps, just about any combo wanted we could try. We have some
multi channel all tube amp 7.1 surround, sacd/dvd-a! Or a movie if preferrred on the
56" widescreen hd in a dedicated music/watching room in the basement.
WE even have vinyl for the analog guy's so if you have something to play on just
about any format bring it along.
So it's an open invite for anyone in the area, and don't really need much advance as
most of the time I could take a break from whatever I'm doing. So drop me a line!
See yu!

I would do anything I could to help out. Or host it in Fat Dog
