Hey! My wife(!) bought a EH Scott console radio with that tuner. It has a very glamorous chromed amp and a 15 inch Jensen driver. We have never fired it up, though this may inspire me, since I now have a variac. Oddly enough, it was owned by a guy who was a vice president or some such at US Pioneer, and even though we bought it in Essex CT, all the stations on the push buttons are San Diego or somewhere in California stations, so he liked it enough to have it shipped across country.
Actually it was offered to me first by the people running the estate sale, who knew I liked audio equipment. I bought a small pair of KEFs and they browbeat me into buying the KLH 5s he had, but I wasn't willing to expend moral capital by trying to bring an enormous radio into the house, but when my wife later showed up at the sale, she took one look and said "We have to buy that!" Go figure!
I will admit that the enormous radio looks a lot better than the HT set up.
But you CS series and HPM fans have to wonder what was going on -- KLHs and KEFs, but no Pioneers?

EH Scott wasn't the Cadillac, Mercedes, Ferrari, or even Rolls-Royce of the golden era of radio... it was more like the Bugatti, Dusenberg, Cord, or Maybach-Zepplin! :-)

Beautiful equipment.
