I seem to recall a TV show (featuring Harley-Davidson) some years ago that showed the machine that pressed gas tank halves. It's the same machine that's been doing the job since they introduced the large tanks in the 30's (?). Very cool. Interesting how cheap Ardvark seems. Wonder what kind of quality they provide. http://198.202.24.113/pressing.htm Seth Forever Analog Yamaha B-2 06-19-2005, 07:31 AM Stereophile has run a couple of good articles on LPs in the last two issues. One was a listing of several places in NYC (for those who live near there) for used vinyl. The other was a short discussion with several suppliers of modern vinyl, like Larry Chess. They all use small, custom, pressing plants. A few even do their own. Long Live the LP!! |
