since November. I got fed up with listening to twenty minutes of commercials during my 40 minute commute every morning and evening (obviously the prime commercial time).

Can't comment on the "audiophile" quality of the broadcast, since I only listen in the car and as background at work. I can say that it is noise free and, just like cable or satellite TV, there are times when I have 100 channels and nothing I want to listen to;)

Truthfully, I rarely listen to local broadcasts anymore, always finding something that fits my mood better on XM.
