I have a vintage magnavox am fm tv console (all tube type dating to 1963). The fm currently has a problem with its tuning ability. It is noting but static/hiss past 103mhz. If I tune before 103 mhz, I will receive the 107.9 station at around 102.7mhz. Seems like my tuning scale is out of order, but I can receive stations at the correct setting in the lower portion of the band, say 92.5 with be 92.5 on the dial. I know I have an electronic problem. I have played with the oscillator adjustment and that does not seem to do much help. Could I have a defective oscillator tube or some other tube in the circuit that can cause this? Not sure what kind of defect I have here. Any help is greatly appreciated!

You need an alignment. The FM Oscillator trim cap calibrates the upper end of the dial while the the osc. coil covers the lower end.
