We've just gotten in, one of each, both VPI Scoutmaster and VPI Scout turntables... these have been on backorder pretty much everywhere, until now!
For a limited time, we're offering these two turntables with ANY cartridge we carry, at half-price for the cartridge! These tables will be set up with the cartridge, mounted, aligned and properly calibrated, and the turntable set up ready-to-play.
For the Scoutmaster, the turntable price itself is $2400.00. For the Scout, the price is $1600.00. But, if you were to choose to outfit one of these tables with, for example, a Benz Ace cartridge (normally $599 by itself), the price of the whole system would be $2700 for the Scoutmaster (instead of $3000), and $1900 for the Scout (instead of $2200). Do be aware that many of these cartridges will need to be special-ordered (due to, for example, in the case of the Ace, the option of low, medium or high output levels, which should be MATCHED to the phono preamp in question), which may take a short while... but we've usually been able to get cartridges readily...
We would strongly recommend pickup of these turntables from our Marietta GA store, due to the precise nature of proper turntable alignment, which can easily be knocked off-kilter by shipping. We can ship the turntable and cartridge, but it would then be the job of the recipient to have the cartridge mounted and aligned...
