Slowly, Its gettin there. I'm still waiting for my other 2205 to arrive so I can run 'em mono. Biggest problem is i need a better rack with more room for all my stuff. Suggestions? How about amp stands? Nice wood and metal ones perhaps? Walnut? Cherry?

This is the only dilemma I've ever actually been happy to be in. Its starting to look like Audio Classics south over here... and still more Mc on the way. When I'm done I'm going to weed thru the best of everything for my ultimate setup and sell off the rest. Stay Tuned...lol.

Artie,
I like Salamander Archetype stands. The great thing is how versatile they are, you can change shelf positions, rack height, and they have a "TV" shelf that is big enough for my VPI TNT turntable. I have had my Salamander rack for about two years and its configuration has changed at least ten times. It is also great for ventilation as I have some tube equipment. Your picture looks beautiful but are you sure you are giving your equipment enough ventilation? I know McIntosh runs cool but heat can build up in tight racks and heat is not good for eletronics.

Yes, we are addressing that next. For now there is a bank of muffin fans at the opening of the cable pass thru's drawing the warm air out of the cabinet. I prefer drawing the air over pushing it, because it pulls the cool lower level air (about 62' at this time of year w/ a-c on) across all of the components. It also fills the room with that Mc smell! Salamander is what my dealer recomended as well along with a Middle Atlantic setup to rack mount everything flush.
We plan on integrating theater with 2 channel audio, and when we do I think this is the setup we'll use.
Thanks for the tips!

That's debatable. Let's see that womanly "stack" look as good as some of this Mac equipment after 25 years or longer. :)

That is one really beautiful system. You've excelled yourself but I fear for your bank balance :(
As for women, theyr'e ok but at least with a hifi you can turn it off when you're fed up hearing it.
