I just went and created a league and got it roughed in. By that I mean, I accepted all the defaults and grabbed a time for a live draft. I'll tweak the rules as far as lineups, roster and scoring at least a week before the draft so you know how to draft (OK, here's the first reminder.....READ THE RULES!)

So if you want all the fun of regular AK, with a little bit extra competitiveness and trash talk, and you think you're good enough to beat some pretty savvy players or Thor, here's the info on signing up!

You have chosen for your league to take part in a live online draft on Sat Jul 23 6:00pm PDT. Until that time, you (and only you) can change the type of draft by using the Change Draft Type option found among your Commissioner Tools, which can be reached from your League Overview page.

If you choose to remain in a live draft, please arrive at the draft 10 minutes ahead of the scheduled time. The draft will start promptly and may conclude rapidly if only a few managers are logged in.

I prefer the auto draft letting the computer pic the player. Not all of us care to research the crap outta of players all day long.

I personally like to do the research. It makes me feel more an owner, and it sucks to see guys given the best players at random. I agree, it does require some homework.

Andy, how ABOUT those FRACTIONAL POINTS?!

Friggin' Comcast is all fubar'd at my house, so I gotta run to the library here.
Should be fixed tomorrow.

We will do fractional points and you can do 2 QB starters, but we won't here.

The only real edge one gets on a live draft vs computer is tha if you are live you can pick more than your starters before the others. That is the computer will pick all your starting positions first, then go back and pick your bench. If you are live and signed in you could pick 3 kickers with your first three picks, if you wanted.

BTW, in a live draft, anyone who ISN'T signed in will have their team picked by thier preranking or by the Yahoo default rankings if they haven't tweaked it, so that part really is the same.

I'll set the scoring and rosters in the next 48 hours so you can get ready for the LIVE draft. If you can't make it prerank your players so you get who you want first, if they're available. BTW, Yahoo defaults to THEIR rankings, so Peyton would go to the first pick, etc.

Yeah, I don't want to hear any excuses like... "Hey, did the season start already?".

I can't hardly believe how much stronger my teams are this year because we didn't use the "Auto-draft" option in any of the leagues I'm in. It sucks. Theres only so much you can do in "WW waste land" after being hamstrung with a team you didn't want. Let the games, and the beatings begin!

There's nothing with Yahoo or our league. I've been getting in no problem. If you can sign on then go to "fantasy home" and it should direct you.

You can change your password later to protect yourself if you so desire.
