A friend of mine moved out of the country and left me his entire album collection. From the titles you may guess he was a 60's teen. Now a rock and roll kidney specialist. Go figure. Check out some these from the 100 or so he gave me. They are all original and mostly mint.

The Doors - Weird Scenes Inside the Goldmine
Rolling Stones Hot Rocks 64-71
Traffic - On the Road
The Beatles - White Album
The Pentangle - Basket of Light and Sweet Child
Joni Mitchell - Court & Spark
Crosby Stills Nash and Yound - So Far
gotta get back to going through these. I haven't even started the classical stuff yet.

"Almost mint". Now that's a rare score indeed. Seems typically that most people don't set up a turntable cartridge correctly and with use it just degrades the record. You got some GREAT albums there. It's always fun going through someone elses collection looking for super pristine records. I prolly only have bout 70 lps to my name and maybe 5 out of that that are completely "pop" free.
Uhhh wanna sell that Beatles White Album? I know of a nice Thorens table just dying to play it. (hint hint) :D

Well, I was/am a 70s teen. Luckily I put most of mine on 8-track or cassette. I can tell you from a extreme personal experience, it wasn't poorly set-up turntables that ruined records. It was the 'heads trying to play them:stupid: :drunk: :withstpd:

I was a 60s teen. The Pentangle, now that IS a blast from the past!
Have just started some cartridge merry-go-round today. Got the stylus for the M95HE, and have mounted it on the SL-23. Man, does Dave Mason sound so fine.
Next, I'll take the Pickering down for the SL-1300.
I'm not sure what I'll do with the old Stanton 500. Not very familiar with the Stanton's. worth a new stylus?
A little Badfinger? :D

IIRC the Stanton 500 series was broadcast gear. I got one at a thrift and it has the instructions and uses listed. Haven't gotten around to getting a stylus for it, actually, I had forgotten about it until now.

I have one LP by "The Pentangle," but always thought of them merely as "Pentangle" (i.e. no "The"). Anyone know, did they drop "The" at some point in their career??
Best wishes,
Felix
