It's listed in Sams index - #540-8, which would be 1961. Simulcast AM/FM stereo?

Dennis Boyle used to have an AM mono reciever from Bell and it had the best sounding AM reception I have ever heard.
This is probably something that needs a multiplexor for stereo FM but for everything else it ought to be fine.
If it is a 6V6 type output I would be more excited than something in the 6L6 family.

id haveto agree if its 6v6 based grab it.i have an older bell 2315 mono integrated that uses 6v6's for output tubes and its one of the est sounding 6v6 based amp i've owned.

FYI, the dude just dropped the price to $60.

60 bucks!? People pay more than that for a bare-chassis Magnavox stereo console hifi amp! If it is indeed a receiver (i.e., with a power amp) and the transformers are good, why would one walk away without it for $60?

If it is working as the owner suggests, I would say $50 or so would be worth it (me not knowing a thing about tube gear). I just aint a tube kinda guy!
