O.K.
Who in the Sam Hill takes an Audire Cresendo in mint condition to Goodwill? And what Goodwill then turns around and sells it for $4.00 (Four Dollars)? MINE NOW!!!!! I now need a recomendation on a pre-amp for it. I hooked up the headphone out from my cd walkman to it and pumped it into a set of DCM TF-350's and this thing sounds pretty sweet. I need to hear it with a proper pre-amp now. I'm really excited!!! This is my first power amp.

I think they (thrifts) are getting more hip to the "name brand" vintage stuff, but when a plainish-looking smaller brand comes in....
Heck they might not even know what it IS. Great find!

It even had a nice set of rca cables with it. they say switchcraft on them and dont look like your normal rca cables. But you are right, they probably didnt even know what it was.

Could be. I got a Luxman M-12 (quite plain looking - no meters or knobs) on the cheap from a thrift recently. I'm not sure they knew it was a piece of audio equipment. 'Course, I see plenty of things in the thrift that leave me wondering what they are...
