I commented today that I was reading a book about Bob Dylan. Out of the back-room comes the other Optician,telling me that Dylan had no talent,was a drug-induced idiot and said he was on the same calibre as Tom Connors. Connors is a local guy who made it big singing about potatoes and lobsters.
I said to him "you think Dylan has no talent,have you ever listened to his lyrics?" Then he starts to stutter and stammer and back tracks on what he says.
He listens to hat acts,and thinks they all write their own songs.
Saying Dylan has no talent is like saying Hemmingway couldn't tell a story

As a casual observation, at least Dylan used/uses polysyllables. Ray, put on some twangy tunes and read some Peter Matthiesson.
