There is a local auction that I just found and has the following. What would be a good price on this stuff?

Heathkit FM4
Heathkit W-7A
Another Heathkit that I can't tell what it is.

Dynakit Mark IV - two of them
A Dynakit Preamp that I can't tell model

Allied KN 110.

I thought about getting into tube stuff and figured this might be my chance.

Looks like 2 W7A's, 2 Dynakit Mk. IV's, a Dynakit PAM-1 mono preamp would the stuff that interests me. The rest of the tube stuff is ok but primarily for the tubes. The extra Heath unit with multiple knobs may be a preamp or more likely an integrated amp, hopefully tube.

Good luck!

The Dynakit MK IV's would be nice to snag for 100 or so for the pair, that would be a steal honestly. The PAM-1 mono would be a nice snag too, maybe 50 give or take. With not knowing the condition *functioning or not* it's based off potential promise's it could hold. Just my 2 cents, others may say 100+ for each MK IV would be ideal but cheaper is better :D

I agree..cheaper is better....not knowing the condition, I'm sure you can easily dump some money into them. What are the dynakit amps rated at?

I want to say the Mark IV are rated at 35wpc

Retail Would easily be over $1000. I would put into as much as you are willing. Those Dynaco's would be very nice starters as they are easy to work on and many kits are available.

I believe Dyna MK-IV are actually 40 wpc. Not that it really matters. Power transformers can be an issue on them.

Well...the kits looked pretty bad in person and I wasn't going to invest too much in them. Not that it would matter...I didn't bring enough cash to hang with the crazy people there. It went for more than I would have paid on a chance that it worked or was salvageable.

I do regret missing out on the Empire 208 TT there. I didn't know what it was..didn't know about until I got there..no signal on my phone to look it up. I knew it was a nicer table by design, but didn't know if it worked or not....no belt..motor turned by hand...I bid $85 and that was enough for me.

For the mutual benefit of all it would be good to know what the high bids were.

I'd much rather be bidding on that Ithica.. sweet 22...

It sold by the piece and I didn't buy any of it, but all together they sold for $700.

The TT, went for $90 I believe. One bid after me, but I walked outside after my last bid so there was no confusion on the fact that I was done bidding.

All kinds of cool stuff: vintage cameras, Cervin Vega AT-8 speakers, a Sony reel to reel, and John Denver 8-tracks too!

I'd love to have that Dynakit preamp and twin power amps.

I didn't stick around for the 8 tracks..wanted to, but Tornadoes in Wichita changed my mind. I got home about 20 minutes before it hit.

I would have paid $100 each for the MKiv's and the W-7's and that Heath pre-amp or amp with all the knobs.
Would have spent $500 and been happy with that great deal, and I don't have much $.
they went cheap.
:sigh:

Would have been easily worth that for the tubes alone, they were probably all original Mullard!
