Pink Floyd's live 2-disc set, Pulse. Wish You Were Here in particular. Never heard a song that made me feel more like I was right there in the croud. Check it out, you won't be disappointed.

If you have a Laserdisc player, try to get a copy of Pulse. You will not be disappointed.

Pulse is one of the better recorded Live disks out there. Yikes...Triumph Stages is about the worst. Pulse sounds good thru the Danes anytime.

Dynacoman...I like your handle. My brother built Dynaco, Heathkit, and Hafler equipment on the kitchen table when I was a kid. Still has working Dynaco gear today.

I'll third that, Pulse is fricking awesome. Another disk that I think is exceptionally good is 'The Best of BTO' re-mastered. That is if you can stomach listening to songs that have been overplayed on the radio for the last 30 years. I hesitate to say this, but I think the sound quality is as good as sacd.

What release was you listening to?

CD or LP? Preseumably the CD. I have the LP boxset of these and you are quite right when you say that they are awesome. I've yet to hear anything from Floyd that wasn't.

Maybe to do with having AP behind the mixing desk.

Another song that simply amazes me on Pulse is Shine on You Crazy Diamond. Wow. Talk about one of the greatest build-ups in a song EVER.
