Wow! What a busy day. Read about all the transactions at tsn.ca (http://tsn.ca/nhl/)

I'm still waiting for the news to come down that the Avs have signed both Forsberg and Naslund ;) . This new CBA should make for a very interesting year in the NHL.

"Flyers land Forsberg"
He is going to be unstopable with the new rules in place.

I question signing Domi at 2.5 million over 2 years. I think they should go after Kayriya(sp) or at least Palfry. If JFJ is holding out til next summer when the younger free agents are available,it will be a looong winter.

If Quinn was still GM Forsberg would be a leaf

Yeah and then the Avs sign Turgeon & Brisebois...WTF!

I listened to Pierre Lacroix on the radio and he said he had no choice but to let Forsberg go. It was try and keep him or have to trade BOTH Tanguay and Hejduk. For me that's a no-brainer....I would have kept them all and said to hell with the salary cap :D .

JFJ had a press conference with Domi on his signing. Domi rambled on about how the media should take it easy on the leafs. Bobby Holik and Tie Domi.Verbal giants in hockey

For what it's worth the Leafs did sign Jason Allison. If he can shed the injury bug and return to the form of 3 years ago he will be a force.

If, thats the big question, the great players do bounce back, time will only tell if he is great or simply mediocre..........Ferguson, Ferguson who?????

Allison has a reputation of not getting along in the dressing room.Mats may have a hard time controlling the room with Roberts gone.
Allison had PCS so it is a touch and go,look at Lindros,he is farked,he has had so many concussions.
I wish I was a Sabre fan, then you wouldn't have to even read the papers or watch TSN and you'd be the only fan east of the 401 highway

I fear this is gonna be a long year for me, Leafs are not doin to much as i hear about all these teams signing big names, but more then that, they are signing provin talents, goaltending in Flyer land is still suspect but i think Clarke realizes that and will correct it...... Me thinks the Eagle is in fer a lot of work this year, prolly won't make it past mid season and his back will give out again......sigh sigh sigh.....................

Lindros signed today.. I predict 25 goals for the Big E. he had a year to rest and realign his brain. He will offer the fiery leadership whilst Sundin contributes the passive leadership

I predict he gets blindsided in practice by the Leaf Goon Tie Domi and never plays a game in a Leaf sweater. :D

Now my Avs on the other hand are doing great with the signing of Brad May <----WTF!!! This assclown sucks and was one of the biggest jerkoffs in the Moore/Bertuzzi incident. What the hell was Lacroix thinking?

I wonder just how effective Lindros will be in the new NHL. His play style was an overpowring big guy kinda style, not a fast speedy finese kinda guy. That said, I hope he does well. I can't stand Bobby Clarke, therefore anyone he hates, I must love and adore :)

IMHO I think the new rules will help the bigger guys, Lemeux, Lindros, Primeau and so on, no one grabbin them and holdin them, hell twice as big as some of the other guys so it only goes to reason that it takes twice as much to move that big frame, now with these new rules these big guys will be able to srutt there stuff, that is if the NHL keeps up with the new rules!!!! :thmbsp:
