A $2800 pr of speaks that warrant mention in the same breath as Avantgarde Duos? Why am I suddenly looking in the living room and getting a sinking feeling?

Well, you shouldn't! No doubt the Druid MKIV speakers are very special beasts, but then again so are your Shahinian Obelisks. These two speakers sound very different from one another, and given how much you enjoy the Obelisks' presentation, I wouldn't start worrying if I were you. :)

BrianB can hook you up.
And since your current speakers would go on the used market... :naughty:

Brian,
Thanks for the reassuring words.........
-edit- How would these sound paired with a Blue Circle CS????
Reyneman,
Go puff a stogie.
-edit- What I really meant to say was, "Thank you for the sage advice from one of AK's veterans."

The MK1.5 looks pretty neat. To bad I can't read the specs on it though from the web site. Maybe on my desk PC at the office. Just to small and to light blue on white background to make out. What do they cost and can you tell me the basics like woofer size, driver type, impedance, sensitivity? Thanks Brian...

Hi WildWest,
The Definition speakers that you are inquiring about are Zu's top-of-the-line model, and retail for $9K per pair - a little more than three times as much as their best-selling Druid MKIV speakers!
While I could simply post a laundry list of the Definition's specs, I would rather refer you to the following review, which not only includes all of the specs you've requested, but also offers some well-informed listening commentary and lots of nifty photos:
6moons.com reviews the Zu Definition MK1.5 (http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/zu2/definition.html)
Cheers,
Brian
