I've had this integrated in my basement system for about a year, and felt it was a nice piece, but didn't come close to the Arcam Diva 90 in my main system. I recently decided to have it tuned up so to speak and am I absolutely amazed at how great this amp sounds!!

It's very clean and crisp, the bass is even better than before and I can't get the volume control past 10 o'clock!! It's not far off from a new $1500 integrated; if it only had a remote for the wife and a couple more inputs...total cost for purchase and tune up-$232.

It's no surprize. Sansui made great equipment and the AU-717 is a fine example. Forget the remote. Getting up off the couch to twist a knob is good for you.

I use my AU 717 in the basement system and i love it, very warm, lots of balls and never lets me down!!!!

I just had merrylander tune up my 717. She has been a member of our family since 1977, and sounds so sweet since the recap. He said she was good to go for another 25+ years.
