View Full Version : Finally a decent score!!!

A friend grabbed this for me at a garage sale for $20.00. No hum ect. Needs a proper fuse holder as the original one is missing and the replacement one is inside the amp. Needs a few screws but otherwise appears intact. It had the original baffle removed (15" driver) and replaced with a 12' driver. Really breaks up great at 4 oclock on the volume. Uses a pair of 6V6 outputs, a 12AX7 and a 6AV6.

A real tone monger too!!! Its one of the older ones with the 5Y3 rectifier. Kid's asleep, so I'll have to crank er' up tomorrow.

Amazing how sweet it looks being old enough to use a 5Y3 rectifier tube.
A keeper for sure.

From the info I've researched I figure its from 65'. This amp really shines as a buttery distorted blues amp. I'll post more pics tomorrow.

<< adjusts the horseshoe in his !@# :D Its actually been a quiet month for me, just a couple small finds and not alot of time to look. I usually don't find alot of tube gear, but have a friend who's a hifi fanatic and loves to trade for the guitar gear he picks up, and being the nice guy I am, I'm always happy to help a friend out unloading useless guitar gear :naughty: hehe.
