So I forgot I was on vacation for a another day or two! At least I was the first one in, so I was able to sneak out without being seen!
Took a slight detour home, and stopped at a thrift to check out what might be there.
Got four LPs. Johnnie and Joe's Kingdom of Love, "cut directly from the original stereo master tape (30 ips) for maximum sonic purity."
Two Jeff Beck's, Wired, and Truth.
And then a soundtrack album, Endless Love, for Lionel Ritchie's arrangements and his duets with Diana Ross. I'll admit to not having heard of the movie, but the thing was in like new condition.
So I'm just sittin' here spinnin' some new tunes. New stylus on the cartridge, balanced as well as an old guy's eye can do.
Sure has the ol' Roxie boxer confused, leaving for work then coming home so soon :D
Played some Weather Report last night, some of the percussion had her rather worried ... or mebbe it was the thunderstorm?

Way to go Pete. May as well make the most of your time since you were out there!:)

Just got a very clean copy of Wacko Jacko's Off the Wall myself. Nice tunes on this one. Is that really him on the cover? :p:

Oh. Yes, I completely missed whatever the MJ phenomenom was about!
Frampton's big smash was the last super-seller I got, & that's just because I somehow knew the bass player. That was before he got with Frampton.
Kinda tickles me that Comes Alive is enjoying some new fans, I liked it.
I usually think of Michael Johnson as MJ. Track & field guy.

Frampton Comes Alive is my favorite live album, I think I will go dig it out and spin it on the "new" Dual 1226, yee-haw!! I do have a Bob Seger live album that is awesome, but nowhere in the league of Frampton. It is just a shame that his studio stuff sucks the big one. Most of the time you listen to the studio versions and are curious to hear a live version, but with him, I only listen to the live one, maybe I'll try and change my mind.
