Enquiring minds want to know... luvvinvinyl 08-18-2005, 07:38 PM No updates, Joe. I know how eager you are, so I wouldn't leave you hanging. I wonder why you said we lost the thread. Isn't this (http://204.10.140.18/forums/showthread.php?t=44901) the thread, to which you refer? I was off today, so no report. Maybe tomorrow is your lucky day. :lmao: Andyman 08-18-2005, 08:47 PM I was off today, so no report. Maybe tomorrow is your lucky day. :lmao: Joe's lucky day???? Looks to me like he's getting only second hand smoke :naughty: tentoze 08-18-2005, 09:03 PM Joe's lucky day???? Looks to me like he's getting only second hand smoke :naughty: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Sandy G 08-18-2005, 10:05 PM "Ernie and the Tattooed Passenger"-sounds like the title for a Cat Stevens album, before he went off the deep end...<grin>-Sandy G. Manitoulin 08-19-2005, 06:51 AM I had originally thought of the title "Ernie and Lydia", but thought most of you would miss the reference. Groucho Marx had a song called "Lydia the Tatooed Lady"... Big reason I posted the new thred was because my thread about comeback lines was hijacked by a person, who shall remain nameless, that needs some serious help. :worried: Pickoid 08-19-2005, 11:18 AM I had originally thought of the title "Ernie and Lydia", but thought most of you would miss the reference. Ew, that would bring to mind "Donald and Lydia" by John Prine, and that is an image I don't want to dwell on... luvvinvinyl 08-19-2005, 11:49 AM "Lydia", a sweet old-fashioned name, for a sweet, old-fashioned girl. NOT! Andyman, Joe is the one, on the edge of his seat, so to speak. You know how those reformed smokers are, always sniffing the air. :lmao: And, no, Joe, nothing to report. Maybe this afternoon. Manitoulin 08-19-2005, 12:35 PM "Lydia", a sweet old-fashioned name, for a sweet, old-fashioned girl. NOT! Andyman, Joe is the one, on the edge of his seat, so to speak. You know how those reformed smokers are, always sniffing the air. :lmao: And, no, Joe, nothing to report. Maybe this afternoon. Nah, I am not on the edge of my seat, just curious. Besides, I still smoke, unfortunately... :worried: luvvinvinyl 08-20-2005, 05:04 AM Sorry, Joe, no news. LBPete 08-23-2005, 09:14 PM Ernie, We need an update. At the very least we need to plan what you will say to her next. There has to be an appropriate response to her road signs. luvvinvinyl 08-23-2005, 09:17 PM Pete, responding to those road signs would take me down a road that I am NOT going to travel. Still no sighting. hp and Manitoulin are waiting for word. :D luvvinvinyl 08-23-2005, 09:21 PM Pete, one of my colleagues, now retired, had a 'close encounter' with a 19-year-old girl. He was 59, and became a new father, just before retirement! Definitely put a crimp in his retirement travel plans. Nope, not going down that road. cubdog 08-23-2005, 09:33 PM Still, such a great story deserves a conclusion. Make one up, but make it a good one. :naughty: cubdog LBPete 08-23-2005, 10:47 PM LV, I don’t know how to break this to you tactfully, but you would need more mojo then either of us have to get closer to those dangerous curves. - Pete luvvinvinyl 08-24-2005, 06:19 AM I am glad you were being tactful, LB, or my feelings might have gotten hurt! :lmao: As for making up an ending, that's not my style. Besides, some things may be better left to one's own imagination. SolderIron 08-24-2005, 03:15 PM >Pete, responding to those road signs would take me down a road that I am NOT going to travel. Still good to day dream about the trip :D luvvinvinyl 08-26-2005, 07:54 PM Well, Henry, I have some news about your favourite redhead. She made an appearance, this afternoon, and rode to the end of the line. We were the only two left on the bus. She asked me if I liked her outfit. I said, “What little there is of it looks great on you!” She took out her cellphone, and dialed a number. She said, “Hit ‘Send’, and talk to the person who answers. Ask him about me.” I recognized the number as the cellphone of one of my colleagues. I called, but the voice on the other end didn’t know it was me. My co-worker started to babble, for about 30 seconds, about how great she was, the other night, and when could they get together again… I stopped him, by speaking, and heard dead silence, in response. “She is here now, and told me to call you. What you do is between you and her. I’m not going to tell your wife, just leave me out of this.” I hung up, and handed her phone back. She said, “You could have had all this, you only had to do was ask. I like older, married men. They try SO hard. And the short, round guys are really enthusiastic. And you have always been so nice. But I can’t be doing two bus drivers, guys are just so jealous. I just wanted you to know that we would have had some real fun.” “Sweetheart, I am more flattered than you can possibly imagine, but I have been married for 28 years, and there is no way I would risk that for a little fun in a chance encounter, even with someone as gorgeous as you. But I do thank you.” She asked me for a transfer, and got off the bus. I watched her walk away, an incredible sight. Oh, and TA, she was wearing blue pumps with 4” chrome stilettos, with all 6 feet of her stacked on top. Dangerous. LB, I guess my mojo, or lack of it, wasn’t an issue. Just my ‘high fidelity’. Pickoid 08-26-2005, 08:35 PM :jawdrop: LBPete 08-26-2005, 11:06 PM I'll be damned, Ernie, they need any new drivers up there? - Pete LBPete 08-26-2005, 11:58 PM Ernie, there is another explanation. Could the redhead and the other driver be in cahoots and yanking your chain? - Pete tentoze 08-27-2005, 12:11 AM :lurk: :lurk: :lurk: OvenMaster 08-27-2005, 03:47 AM she was wearing blue pumps with 4” chrome stilettos, with all 6 feet of her stacked on top. Dangerous. TA ain't the only one drooling at this image, LV.... Tom Manitoulin 08-27-2005, 08:06 AM Ernie. You win my complete admiration for tactfully letting her know that you respect your wife and her vows of marriage. A very big thumbs up to you :thmbsp: No piece of trim is worth destroying a 28 yr marriage. The young ones may be great to look at, interesting to fantisize about, but are untouchable for us married folk. Kudos to you Ernie as well for telling us the truth. It shows maturity. Far too many would have bragged or embellished the story... The Penthouse Forum version may have been more interesting, but your version made me feel good knowing that there are still some decent people out there. Joe OvenMaster 08-27-2005, 08:37 AM I'll echo that. In this day and age it's great to see someone take their vows seriously. I'd expect nothing less from such a gentleman. Well done. :thmbsp: Tom merrylander 08-27-2005, 10:43 AM And I will say amen to what Joe and Tom wrote, I just knew there was a damn good reason why I like you. Rob luvvinvinyl 08-27-2005, 04:46 PM You gentlemen are too kind. I thank you for your support. It means more to me than I can express, here. luvvinvinyl 08-27-2005, 04:46 PM LB, the other driver is FAR too busy running around on his fourth wife, to worry about pulling a trick on me. I hear about this sort of thing (liaisons with passengers) happening, about once or twice a year, which means that it is actually more frequent. Personally, I don't understand it. Anyway, thus ends this little saga in the otherwise boring workday of a bus driver. Sandy G 08-27-2005, 07:41 PM You, sir, are a gentleman & a scholar-and there's few of either one left.-Sandy G. Manitoulin 08-27-2005, 08:45 PM Anyway, thus ends this little saga in the otherwise boring workday of a bus driver. BORING? Ernie, you gotta have more stories that will brighten our day. One of the Ottawa drivers told me of seeing handjobs, flashings, and more.... Kamakiri 08-29-2005, 08:26 AM Okay Ernie, seriously.......did this really happen? luvvinvinyl 08-29-2005, 08:41 AM You know, Tim, if someone told me this story, I confess I would be skeptical, but it appears that there are young women who thrive on chasing older, rounder men. Kind of the opposite of 'cougars'. Strange, yes, but true. Manitoulin 08-29-2005, 08:48 AM Some of them crave the respect and tenderness that an older, more emotionally mature man can give. :thmbsp: Besides, it is less tiring for them physically. :lmao: Kamakiri 08-29-2005, 08:49 AM It's not that I didn't believe you, but it was so perfect after we'd all discussed it that it seemed "too good to be true", if you know what I mean :) luvvinvinyl 08-29-2005, 09:02 AM Yeah, I know what you mean. I wouldn't pick me either. I mean, there are mirrors in my house. I guess life is like that, every once in a while. It did put a little extra spring in my step, I admit. As for me staying "hi-fi", 'fess up, Tim, you wouldn't step out on Steph, either. Kamakiri 08-29-2005, 09:08 AM Yes but you're missing my point...... It's not that I'm in disbelief that she wanted you, I'm in disbelief that she was actually looking for some "lovin" after we all imagined the possibilities :naughty: Manitoulin 08-29-2005, 10:01 AM Yes but you're missing my point...... It's not that I'm in disbelief that she wanted you, I'm in disbelief that she was actually looking for some "lovin" after we all imagined the possibilities :naughty: Maybe Ernie has really big feet, and she believes the legend that big feet = big equipment.... :naughty: OvenMaster 08-29-2005, 10:06 AM Truth is stranger than fiction, gents. Tom dingus 08-29-2005, 12:47 PM It's not that I'm in disbelief that she wanted you, I'm in disbelief that she was actually looking for some "lovin" after we all imagined the possibilities :naughty: by the way she dresses, i'm guessing she's always trying to attract attention, even if she's not actively looking. Ernies quick vibrator remark probobly stirred her interest and she wanted to find out how things would play out. luvvinvinyl 08-29-2005, 01:03 PM AHHHH! NOW I see. You have to explain things clearly, using small words. I'm on vacation, and the brain has shifted into neutral. No, Tim, it is not an uncommon occurrence, in the fleet. The unusual part of this is that the subject female is young, a smoking hottie, and, apparently, set her cap for me. Several of the young drivers (early to mid-twenties) report 'cougar attacks'. Those fellows are usually single, and working nights, which is death on the social life. A forty-something workout addict, with implants, money, and an 'itch', hits on a 23-year-old single guy who hasn't had any in a couple of weeks, or more, and, reportedly, it can be earth-shaking. Easier than the bars, and she doesn't have to buy any drinks. Just wait till the end of service. Sort of like a buffet, because the junior men end up working nights, and many are single. Even those who are a little older, and married, have been known to 'stray', often more than once. So, yeah, it was rare, only because it was me. First time in 18 years on the job. |
