Well, there folks in Buffalo, New England, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, and a few other places that may say you're wrong. the AFC looks pretty tough this year with some great defenses.
Should be a fun season!!

Me too! I am the Chargers Fan on this site! My 1st pro game was the Chargers vs the "Joe Willy" Jets in '68. Speedy Duncan returned one all the way to the house! Grew up in San Diego but became a real fan after I left the area. The Dan Fouts Chargers were the best!

Fast foward to '05. Gates is back and we have the best player in the game in LT. Brees looked good today and his WRs should offer more than last year. Now if we could only find a pass defense! I'll be following the top two draft picks with great interest. Sproles should be fun to watch also. If we could get double digit wins and win a playoff game I'd be happy! Steelers??? There in trouble! Ben will be hurtin' this year, with Burress gone and Deuce out. Defense is great but other than Hines where the offense coming from? Bettis???

Da Bus has stepped up before and the Steelers are well known for getting the job done time in and time out. Duce Staley will be back in a month tops, so no sweat what so ever. Big Ben is on a roll and that boy is hot, hot, hot! The road to the Super Bowl will be through Hienz field...Remember I said it!

HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO!!

I'm just not sold on Drew Brees. I know...fantastic year last year, but I was expecting more from him earlier on. Maybe last year was an aberation? :scratch2: I've got a problem with recent Purdue QB's (and I went there!) Any body remember Mark Hermann? We'll see what Kyle Orton does now that he's inherited the starting job with DA BEARS :D

Choke...lost to the, to the...Cowboys? :lmao:

I like the Chargers but...Superbowl? ummmmm not

Meanwhile back to the teams that likely will be there. Steelers sure walked through the Titans today. Short a running back? No sweat, just pull a running back outta the hat in typical Steeler fashion...

Andyman
09-11-2005, 07:02 PM
Yeh, but folks are picking the Titans to finish last in that division.
How about Miami over Denver, SF over SL, and TB over the Vikes???

BTW, the Lions over my Packers was no surprise, at least by me

Well, ummm they are off to a great start. 0 - 2

No team ever with an 0 - 2 record has made it to the playoffs.

Grant it thought, the Chargers have the talent to change that stat.

Meanwhile in Heinz field, the Steelers are rolling like a freight train
2 - 0  Next week will be fun... Hellooooo Pats, remember last year? <snicker> :naughty:

I'll go out on a limb and say my Chargers will be the 1st to do it. The Steelers do look very good. I picked up there QB and RB on my fanatsy team!

Chargers looked great against the Pats. But ya gotta admit...The Pats had to let it all out the week before in Heinz field. Lost some very good men in that game. Chargers do look good though. As Mike said, they could be the first team to turn it around and go all the way. BUT! The buzz saw comes to town this coming Monday night and the Steelers are coming off 2 weeks rest. If the Chargers manage to get past them then you Charger fans may really have something to cheer about this season.

Member number 14 means just that. AK member number 14. You know MikE. I'm quite the antique piece of furniture around here so are you. LOL Don't know what member number you are though. There is a way to find out and I did once. Now I can't remember how the hell I did it. Bet Dave or Tim knows though.

Its a Colorado (Bronco) rivalry

I on the other hand would rather watch hockey than football. Being a Detroit Red Wing fan since way before the Avalanch moved from Quebec. I go to the games when Detroit is in town. It is a big thing for the Colorado fans to post signs that say "Red Wings suck" I have a T-Shirt that says "Avalanche Swallow"!!!

Go Indy! Superbowl Champs This Year!

The Colts are one hell of a team! That dreaded defense has made the difference for you guys, IMHO. Indy is a class act, and Dungey really deserves it, after he built the Buc's, then got canned. I can only hope that the Chargers have something to say about it. Good luck the rest of the season, except of course when you play us. I'd like to see the Chargers beat Indy, but I'd also like there to be NO champange opened by a select few this year. If Indy beats the Chargers, then I'd be very happy if they went undefeated!!

Hey, yungin's dad, you're kind of quiet now. How about that smack down the Dolphins laid on the Chargers? Playoffs are looking kinda iffy now, eh?

Seriously, if not for one fluke play at the end of the Eagles game the Chargers would be right in the thick of things.

Those Chargers are really thoughtfull!!!!! First the Dolphin's kick our asses, then we end the Colt's streak and preserve the Dolphin's run. I wish we could be in the play-off's this year, who knows maybe we'll get the help we need, I wonder if the Phin's can help us out after all? I'll have to look at the schedules.

Sorry I didn't come in and give y'all some props! The Phin's bloodied our noses, and deserved that game. Man, they sure seem to be hittin' a nice stride right now. Perhaps something to build on for next year! Good luck for the rest of the season.

The chargers looked excellent yesterday. If it weren't for Schottenheimer luck they'd be fighting Denver for the AFC West crown. How's Tomlinson doing? I'd hate to see him out the next two weeks, but his backup did OK against the Colts.

Jeeeez, Dave I guess you're allowed to gloat a little! :yippy: As far as the Chargers year. On paper it looks disappointing compared to 2004 but we had that stupid "Gates contract" situation that was poorly handed by the front office [there was win thrown away in the 1st game he sat] and then the narrow loses. But Tomlinson obviously wasn't himself down the stretch from the sore ribs he was nursing. I think if he was healthy we would have made the playoffs and I know no one wanted to play us if we had made it. So things look very good [outside of Brees' shoulder] for next season.

Good luck today. Nothing against Pitt but I'm pulling for Seattle. If they can arrest Alexander [good luck] they deserve the win.
