I'm buying a pair of Klipsch CF-3 loudspeakers from a Klipsch forum member in the Indianapolis region. I'm wondering if I can gain the assistance of AK'ers in getting them East? Even if I could get them to Cleveland or Erie, it would be a huge help - I'd just take a couple hours, drive out and grab em! :)

Be warned - They're big mama-jamas - 41" high, 17" W x 17" D and 102 lbs each with twin 10" woofers - just slightly smaller than my CF-4s. Here's a detail page so any volunteers would know what they're getting themselves into...

These will be the "surround" speakers for my all Klipsch Epic home theater! :D

*bump* Well, I just paypal'd the seller the funds, so I guess they're mine. But shipping is gonna be $266 to here, so if anybody can help get them even halfway to NYS, it would be a tremendous help.

im gonna be headed to Wheeling, WV, but not until closer to november/december...so i don't think that they could probably wait that long. Otherwise, i would be glad to get em that far!

Unless you want me to pick em up now, and use em for a few months!! lol....

Good luck with your search!

P.S. you might consider greyhound....I had some fiberglass fenders shipped from AZ via greyhound for $50....might be worth looking into.

Greyhound is a bit sneaky in their freight offerings, just when you get all excited to use them, the fine print tells you that they refuse to haul anything over 100 lbs. So, no luck with them on the 102 lbs Klipsch.

I have a friend that travels on business from Chicago to Rochester regularly, and has a van. If you can get them to Chicago, I might be able to hook up the relay.

Tim, thanks for the assist. However, it looks like I'm covered. One of the Klipsch forum regulars, Colterphoto, lives in Indy. He's going to pick them up for me, and then I'm going to meet him sometime in early October at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland. I've never been to the Hall of Fame, but it sounds like a fun way to spend a day, and it's 300 miles closer one-way than Indy for me.
