I realize this is a LONG shot, being a newbie and all, but I bought a set of drums near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I figured freight would be cheap. Nope.

I've already tried to get up there once this summer, but I brought my wife's brother with me, and it turns out he's got a felony drug record that I had no idea about, but the Canadians did. So I had to turn around. Needless to say, my father-in-law got an earful from me for neglecting to tell me about my brother-in-law's "issues." Doh.

Anyway, I'm willing to pay anyone that can get them anywhere nearer to me - meaning anywhere near the States (read Vancouver/Victoria), or even into the US. If any of you Canuck snowbirds are heading down here anytime soon, it will be a way for you to cover your gas money, at least.

PM me and let me know if you're into it.

heyy, i'm in edmonton. did he remember to pack all the shells in one another? you can ship a set that way usually for under a hundred bucks. if i could drive, i'd take it somehwere close. but i cannot. Krimney is here a lot, he might be able to bring it to calgary for you if you are super lucky. oh, and if all else fails, i need a new set of drums.

They're not packable, unfortunately. They're all boxed individually, and that's how they have to be moved. I figured that it will take most of a minivan, which I don't own, so I have to rent one. Again.

It looks like I'm making another epic journey to go get them. Solo, this time.

Say, can I bum an assist (http://audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=42348) for the return trip from Canada or the first leg to Canada? :thmbsp:

Good luck one way or the other.

Nope, I just really need to scoop up those drums. I will take the opportunity to stop by Calgary and say hi to Ed Meitner (EMM) and John Wright (Museatex).

And it appears that I'm taking some monsters to central Washington. I can certainly haul stuff from SF to the Northwest for other people.
