Got a RT 707 for a friend on Ebay and my luck ran out. Poor packing and a damaged piece. Seller (moron) did not know how to pack I I have a damaged deck. Anyone have a left reel motor? I need the little star holder and screw which holds the reel in place as well as the brake shoe. Pretty much the whole motor and hub took a hit. Anyone know of parts unit let me know. This may end up a parts machine. :sigh: Thanks

That wasn't the deck that sold for $250 from Lincoln NE, was it?

I think I can help with the motor and brake shoe. Is the star holder the spring loaded hold down clamp that holds the reel in place?

PM me if you want to buy another parts machine. Maybe you could use yours as the parts deck to fix this one...

Hi folks,

I have a RT-707 I use often. I need new cabinet screws and the screw for the left idler roller on it. Also, a photocopy of the Service manual would be superb too. PM if you have any of these. I also wouldn't mind having a replacement set of VU meters (mine are sticky)

Hi folks! I just acquired an RT-707 in pretty good condition except no cabinet screws. The seller's kids got into it years ago and did away with the screws (apparently left the inside alone, thank heaven). Anybody have the long side screws and the short top ones from a parts unit? Thanks.

For the record, folks, although this thread contains some wanted ads and offers to sell from long ago, such posts are no longer allowed in the forums. Thanks.

I'd like to add that you can find a lot of the metric hardware for our Japanese gear at Ace hardware.
In stainless, even.
(I should get money from them, I plug 'em so much)
